AMCA Annual General Meeting 2022 – Lake Tahoe – California – USA

We attended the AMCA AGM in Lake Tahoe this year and would like to thank the organizers and fellow members for a most informative and enjoyable three days. We had previously attended the AMCA Asia and AMCA EU conferences in Shanghai and Brussels in 2019, but this was the first AGM we’ve attended. It was great to get together with colleagues from different companies from all over the world to share ideas on where we are and where we are going in our industry.

One topic of great interest to us was the pending change in practice and regulation of air movement equipment supply in California in 2023. In light of the global drive to increase system efficiencies during fan selection and implementing the excellent AMCA 208 Calculation of the Fan Energy Index (FEI) specification, we have an obligation to ensure our clients are compliant with these changes when using our software. The seminars and discussions around this topic were extremely useful for us to fully understand what is expected and required by the California Energy Commission (CEC) and potentially the US Department of Energy going forward.

We will certainly be booking our places for next year’s AGM in Barcelona and again would really like to thank the organizers AMCA for putting on a wonderful event.
